So, the story is told that way back when…….
This historic building was built in 1918 and was a pharmacy downstairs ran by Gentry Johnson and Robert Beyer ,with a soda fountain and treats for customers waiting on medicine or just hanging out. There was a doctor’s office upstairs that had eleven rooms to see patients. Each room had running water, as latex gloves were not invented yet. The diner currently has 2 booths that are the original booths from the pharmacy that sit towards the back of the restaurant and the soda counter is a replica of the original in the 1950s along with an old telephone booth that still works!
